First Post!?

I've been putting up the resuscitation of this site for a long while. Work, my other projects, and a game featuring an annoying (and suspicious) fairy-like creature have prevented me from focusing on web design. Thanks to a certain Apartheid era emerald mine heir turning an already problematic social media site into a full blown online Nazi bar, I came to the realization that putting all of my online posts and ramblings (as worthless and uninteresting as they may be at times) onto any social media site has plenty of downsides. I finally decided to relaunch this blog with an open source static site generation tool called Publii. I have some qualms with it, but it is fairly small and doesn't require me to install a fragile chain of NPM dependencies.

I'm currently working on tweaking the layout and CSS to my liking but thought I'd test things out with a first post. I plan on keeping things relatively simple this time around since I probably still won't post too much, but I still needed to take the first step and get something uploaded to test with. I primarily intend to discuss video games (including discussion about my own personal game project), and rant about the current state of the technology world and Internet in general.
